Welcome to Ladyfield Evangelical Church, Chippenham!
We do not know the reasons why you have contacted our website but we do know that it is God's leading and we are delighted to have this opportunity to tell you about God's work through us in Chippenham and further afield.
Ladyfield was founded in 1944 when some Christians recognised the need for a Christ centred, Bible based, independent, non-denominational church in Chippenham. It started in a home, grew, moved to a local school and then to its present dedicated site off Hungerdown Lane.
The present congregation numbers in excess of 165 people on Sundays for the morning and evening services. In our meetings we endeavour to give families and individuals the opportunity to worship God together in a reverent, truthful and spiritual manner. The good news of salvation through repentance and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is proclaimed in each meeting and the Word of God is expounded and applied to our day to day living. There are crèche facilities for younger families for the morning service.
Before the morning family service the Sunday School and Covenanters meet when the Bible is presented in a suitable way to each age group. There is also a Bible study that runs for some 30 minutes and which is open to all. Following the evening meeting the young people meet for fellowship in a home with adults leading. During the week there are meetings for children, young people and adults.
Ladyfield currently has three Elders and five Deacons. The Elders, Bruce, Douglas and Tim are happy to speak to you at the church or in your home if you wish, regarding any spiritual matters or other concerns you may have.
Within this site there are many activities that we carry out in the name of the Lord and, God Willing, you will find all you wish to find in these pages.
The Newsletter page provides necessary confirmation of the current week's activities and the month's preaching programme.
